What’s Important to Me
Transparency Creates Trust and Accountability
Overall, I believe that the core of my stances can be summed up as the following:
Investing now prevents more costly solutions later
I don’t even have to mention it, do I? There’s numerous cases where people try to skirt around regulations or do the bare minimum just to save a penny, and then later you have to pay someone twice as much to fix it.
01
Growth and Environmental Stewardship
Growth is inevitable, but it should be balanced with protecting our greenery and waterways. The rural character that makes Harford County beautiful should be preserved. Our farmlands also deserve to be maintained properly.
For example, we don’t have to replace usable land with solar farms. We can build solar panels on top of the large swaths of parking lots that already exist.
02
Community resources for children and teens
We need to support our children inside and outside school.
This includes fully funding our schools so that both our children and the staff have the resources that they need to ensure our future- but it also includes ensuring people know about programs that can help families outside of school as well.
03
Infrastructure and public transportation
Our residents deserve efficient transit solutions and alternatives in order to go about their daily life- whether it be for work or leisure.
Allocating sidewalks, bike lanes, and supporting increased bus services reduces road traffic and allows more people (minors, the elderly, disabled people, etc.) mobile independence.
04
Say “No” To Data Centers
Data centers are commonly constructed in neighborhoods that center marginalized communities that companies consider “expendable,” including rural areas. I believe all citizens of Harford County are important, and that everyone deserves clean air and water. People are already struggling with their electric bills lately- we don’t need exacerbate that.
05
Election Reform
I support publicly-funded elections and ranked choice voting. These options will allow more genuine opinions from the community to shine through. We shouldn’t be governed by bigwigs who won just because they have enough money to throw at the election.
06
Support Our Workers
We all have the right to fair wages and safety in the workforce. Period.
Unions exist to keep us safe.
07
Affordable Housing
Every citizen of Harford County deserves a proper place to live. We need to prioritize our citizens over companies. Corporate landlords and big investors shouldn’t be allowed to own everything.
Introducing more affordable homes would make it easier for families everywhere to live.
08
Honesty and Integrity
If elected, I’ll vote for what I think is right, no matter how much money people offer me.
I also plan to be completely honest with my policies and thought process.
09
People First
Bottom line- I’m here for us, not me.
The constitution begins with “We, the People,” for a reason.
